My man, Noah. Thanks for your support during this trip especially when my assignment for Hinano started going worse with the fins cut accident. My best shot of the trip I think.

That color should be raised in the sky only as a sunset... (political view inside...lol).
These pics have been shot straight after the 1st day of the groms contest of this week-end. You can see Tiahiti in action, nice roller, see a video of him right here.

Hira in da tube

That was the best part of our Tuamotus' trip : crewzing with da boys when we came back to Tahiti. I do not know how the light-painting session started but somehow Hira and Moe ended up moving their mobile phones in front of my camera set in slow-shutter mode. I showed them the result and the guys caught many ideas. Naughty first, of course. We laught for about half an hour. This photo is the link to what Hira does the best : surfing. At the end I told to myself that creativity is just a game between the subject and the photographer. Here, that creativity has totally shifted to the subject and I was so pleased that once in that week, I had only to push the release button, nothing else.

Straight after the World Longboard Tour

Well I couldn' find any picture to complete my "4 elements" theme I started in the previous pictures but hey, it's not despressing me and if I didn't put any picture online for long it's because I was watershooting like mad (Elementary, my dear Watson !). Life goes on and here it is : a good picture I took straight after the World Longboard Tour. Better than all these shitty images I took from the beach during the contest...
If someone knows that guy, just email me. I guess he did the contest too.
edit : I forgot to mention that in the back you can see manoa drollet's father longboarding, you know the big wave rider.

Featuring Heimoana Zaveroni and Thomas Chamulo.
It was the same week-end as the previous post. The boys were playing and then I could get my "earth element" for this four-post sequence of the 4 elements.
If you want to see more pictures of Thomas go to his MySpace. For Heimoana, I've got a couple of nice pics of him pumping Teahupoo beast during the trials 2007. One of them is here.

Air : Tamaroa McComb and the kids out there

It was during the groms contest at Taharuu on june, 17. At the beginning of the summer holidays, kids got out their kites. I don't know if this happens in other countries but sometimes here in Tahiti, all the kids are playing the same game during a given period and then it's missed out. This happened to me when I was younger (it was not so far I remember :-) ) and we used to play kite, roller skate, skate board, or a game with " little rings around a big ring" because it was just so cool to play with.
Anyway, next element to put in action is "earth".
Oh yeah, the dyptic features Tamaroa, winner of the king of the groms. About Tamaroa, tsss... well I got plenty of video sequences of him I taped before he went to France for this contest and believe me he f***kin rips. He will for sure be in the WCT pretty soon hopefully.
